HOD – Tool Room – Setco Auto Systems

Job Description

Leadership and Management:
- Lead and supervise the tool room team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
Tool Room Operations:
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Ensure timely and accurate production of tools to meet manufacturing schedules and quality standards.
- Implement and maintain best practices for tool room processes, including CNC programming, machining, and tool assembly.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and enforce quality control standards for all tooling and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and maintenance departments to support manufacturing operations and resolve technical issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align tool room activities with company objectives.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the tool room budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Monitor inventory levels and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety, conducting regular safety training and risk assessments.

Other Details

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or TRTC
Strong knowledge of tool design, machining processes, CNC /VMC programming, and quality control.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM/ MDT & SolidWorks / PRO-E / CATIA V-5 software.
