Job Description
  1. Shop Planning:
    • Develop monthly plans for manpower, machines, and materials in alignment with production plans from the PPC department.
    • Communicate manpower and material requirements to relevant agencies.
    • Inform the production head about machine shortages and collaborate on action plans (e.g., outsourcing).
    • Prepare weekly production and dispatch plans.
    • Create contingency plans for manpower during periods of expected abnormal absenteeism due to seasonal or festival reasons.
  2. Shop Loading & Manpower Deployment:
    • Formulate daily production plans considering material, machine, and manpower availability, and customer priorities in consultation with PPC.
    • Oversee shop loading and manpower deployment.
  3. Production Monitoring & Control:
    • Measure, monitor, and report daily production output against production norms.
    • Analyze gaps and implement corrective actions to meet targets.
  4. Compliance of QMS & Maintain 5S on Shop Floor:
    • Ensure proper display of process flow diagrams, work instructions, and other quality requirements on the shop floor.
    • Maintain 5S standards on the shop floor.
    • Guide manpower to adhere to process requirements and work instructions.
    • Maintain discipline and a conducive working environment on the shop floor.
  5. Productivity & Quality Improvement:
    • Initiate productivity improvements by involving and motivating staff.
    • Address and remove bottlenecks.
    • Use seven QC tools and 8D problem-solving methods to enhance quality and productivity and reduce rejection levels.
    • Implement Poka-yoke to prevent defects.
    • Manage raw material re-cancellation through SAP.
  6. Operations & Facilities Management:
    • Oversee operations and facilities, including managing press shop operations with presses ranging from 40T to 1200T.
Other Details
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  2. Proficiency in SAP and other relevant production management software.
  3. Skills:
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Strong understanding of QMS, 5S, and lean manufacturing principles.
    • Ability to solve problems using structured methodologies such as 8D and seven QC tools.
