Vision
Global Design & Development of the Setco group is lead from the UK Research and Development centre, which has been developing commercial vehicle clutches for over 30 years.
Our Engineering team create and analyse new product designs by utilising the latest Creo 3D CAD and Finite Element Analysis software, allowing us to design and manufacture specialised one–offs or production quantities to service O.E. demand.
By utilising our clutch endurance test equipment, each new Lipe Clutch cover assembly design is typically released and engaged 3.6 million times whilst at a temperature of 125°C. The spring centres of the Lipe Clutch discs, which are critical to damp out engine vibration and to provide smooth clutch engagement, are compressed 2.5 million times. This testing is representative of a lifetime of arduous use in a truck, and meets or exceeds the expectations of the major truck manufacturers. Products are only approved for production after passing these tests without breakage or significant loss of performance.
Warranty Guidelines
All Lipe Clutch products come with the peace of mind of a 2 year / 200,000 mile warranty.
Faulty parts will be replaced or refunded when the complete purchased unit is returned, with correctly completed paperwork attached, within the stated time frame and vehicle mileage.

The ‘no quibble’ policy may not be applied where the unit shows evidence of incorrect fitment, incorrect application, handling damage or driver misuse. Further scrutiny may be applied should any individual customer submit a disproportionately high number of warranty claims.
Returns and Exchange
At Setco Automotive (UK) Ltd [LIPE CLUTCH] we are committed to high levels of customer service and productivity. As such, we would like to clarify the correct procedure to follow when returning unused goods to our facility. Following this procedure will help to ensure that goods are processed and credits issued in an effective and timely manner. Please be aware that we are not able to identify goods that are returned to us without the correct procedure being followed, in which case goods are likely to be scrapped without a credit being issued.
Before returning goods, please follow the steps below:
A Request for Return Number must be allocated first by phoning the Lipe Clutch customer desk:
01706 228 321.
It helps to have the fully completed Request for Return Form to hand during that call as it will aid discussions.

It is the customer’s responsibility to return the goods with the completed Request for Return form
(including the Request for Return Number) clearly attached to the outside of the package.
The goods will be inspected on receipt at Setco. A 20% administrative fee is normally deducted from the credited amount.
Further fees may be charged if the goods are not received in the same condition as supplied.
